What does your heart desire?
The majority of us spend the first 20 years of our lives trying to decide what it is we actually want to do or what who we want to be. We become so wrapped up in society we forget to ask ourselves – what do I really want?
I don’t mean that in the sense of “What car, house or next hair colour do I want?”
I mean that in the sense of “What do I want to achieve in life? What do I want to do that will make me a greater version of myself? What do I need to do that will leave me satisfied at the end?”
You see so many twenty somethings jumping on a plane to all these exotic countries to try and find themselves – at first, most would think they’re just using it as an excuse to avoid work and paying bills; but in reality they’re living life to the fullest.
Do we really need all the materialistic things in life? Aren’t memories worth a hundred times more than a wardrobe full of clothes and shoes you wear once or twice?
The way I see it is -you get one chance at life, one go only! Why wouldn’t you make every single moment count? See a thousand sunsets on a thousand beaches and wake up to every season in as many countries as you can.
Save your money, cut down on buying unnecessary items that fill a void and spend your money and time on a ticket to a destination unknown. Travel as far and wide as you can and meet people you’ll never forget and memories that will last forever. Some of those people will become your closest friends or even your soul mates. The World is full of corners undiscovered – they’re waiting for someone to appreciate them and speak of their beauty. Why can’t that be you?
At the end of the day, you want to be able to say “I wouldn’t have changed a thing”
Anything can be done if you believe in it enough.
Have less, Live more.
